Motivation
There is a famous quote by Oscar Wilde -
Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you get the result.
Our motivation for launching Kazira grew from the urge to help the soon-to-graduate (juniors, seniors, grad-school students) and recently graduated college student’s create/find the conditions that will enable them to get the desired results and achieve success in their professional endeavors/careers.
In our experience, the typical academic environments (the schools, colleges, and universities) primarily focus on imparting education in core knowledge areas such as science, technology, business, arts, medicine, etc. We call these the hard skills. There is very little, if any, emphasis on developing skills such as leadership, negotiation, career planning, networking, personal growth, etc. These are often referred to as the soft skills and these, combined with one’s hard skills and attitude, create the conditions that are conducive for career growth and professional success.
By means of Kazira, we will present, share, and discuss these much desired and much required skills so that readers may benefit from our professional and personal experiences. From time to time, we will invite “guest bloggers” to contribute to the forum and provide valuable wisdom from their professional experiences. And, of course, we will get to hear from you, the audience, on how effective, meaningful, and relevant the postings are, and what we can do to improve your Kazira experience and take-aways.
